Dear all,

I just bought a group of plecos but recently they are not eating. Are there any possibilities as to why?

Can it be that the plecos cannot 'locate' the food because my water flow is too strong and always blow the food to the back of the tank?

Anyway all the shrimps and cories died one by one, so I am really quite worried about my plecos.

Pls help!!

Daniel

Can you recall what you did to the tank? Shrimps are sensitive to water parameters

Check your water parameter.

may I know what test kits do I need to buy to check the parameters?
I already doing 30% water change for several days but they still nt eating.

I believe previously they couldn't 'find' the food because of the water current that washes all the food to the secluded corners. then the water deteriorated when all the food decomposes.

Ever since I have rescaped the tank to a more simpler setup. please see my pics and give me some advice. the current is still strong due to the mechanic filter I placed in the tank. the food will still be washed to the dead spots so pls advise me on whether strong currents are necessary.

Thanks a million to the bros that are helping me!

have you tried throw some food and off the light. 46 can be shy fishes and not willingly take food in front of you.

Buy Lamotte , http://www.lamotte.com/aquarium_fish_farming/product_line/individual_test_kits.html

for very precise people who like to check minute difference..

i am quite sure that they did not eat because the hikari wafer that I threw in remains the same shape when I check in the morning. So every morning i will **** out the wafer before it rots.

I guess I will have to check the parameters.... :(

Any other advice?
