I want to find out. Odontodes at tail section means it is a definite male ?

Please help :)

Females may have tail flank odontodes but much less in density.
For the pictured fish I'd say its male.
Quite certain due to the density of odontodes.

ladies do have some hair on their legs but less dense. Like wat irwin mentioned. males tends to have dense growth of odontoides. :)

Are there any chance that males have little odontodes near their tail section? Just like me have little hair on my legs :o :D

my camera is lousy hahaa.. coz i expand and see my history of photos, i'm not able to see such a nice hairy on their body.

incidentally, do you have any female picture to share?:)

I use a normal Sony digital camera. I use the "flower" mode :D

Female, why? never cave!!

btw, i was flipping my pleco book before i sleep last night. i notice all Peckoltia species has very hairy body.

small panaque/panaqolus males are also hairy, e.g. L104, L169, L002, L204 etc
