your new scape is really nice, nice DW, looks like a high quality tank too. one of my pleco suffer similar injury to your L333. but the wound is smaller. i applied melafix on it using a cotton bud.
your old tank is my dream tank. haha, find it too pricey

Thanks Soltari007....total have 6 zebras (1 male adult and 5 juvs).
Initially, L333 and L046 share the same tank but due to one of the L333 kena hammered by the adult L046 (i suspect)and i decided to separtae them.
Yes....i agreed that L333 are very food smart or active because once I throw in the food, they will be the first to react and eat the food:)

i try my best to answer your question. L66 is from lower xingu, so does L46, L333, L399 etc. in the hobby lower xingu generally refers to beautiful hypans that are quite hard to ID, maybe due to variant in the same L number or crossbreed/hybridisation in the wild. pls correct my if i'm wrong.
p/s crossbreed/hybrid...very confusing, hence i used both! :D

I recognize the tank!
Did you get the zebra from wasabi8888 too?
The "lower" in lower xingu refers to the "lower course of the river".
Its usually closer to sea level, the water flow speed is slower and the river widens.
I'm sure you can guess its quite a distance.
As far as I know that is no definitive "start" point to mark the lower course of the Rio Xingu.
Maybe someone with geography knowledge can add to this?
Hypancistrus sp. L66 is not the same as Hypancistrus sp. lower xingu.
They have yet to sort out the sp. lower xingu.
Some even think there are a few species and its more or less accepted that its a complex of species.

Hi Desmond & Irwin,
Thank you very much for your valuable information:) Really appreciate that!
Irwin,
Yes, I got the tank from Wasabi8888 but not the zebra (wasted :o) Very nice person in which he dun mind to share anything about fishes / plants (orchids)
I am glad to know him....and hopefully I can meet up with you and the experts here soon...:)

Hi noname777, it is nice to see your post compared to the usual guy (shamelessly me). Hope you will make use of PCS as your launching pad for your breeding in the pipeline.
