Was taking some pictures at a hobbyist place. Tucuri or not? share your thoughts :)

From the picture, I find that the fish is fair with no black mark. It must have cost your friend a lot of money to buy this handsome fish during this era.

i think he must have paid quite a bit for it as it's above 1 foot.
in any case, big fellas are out of reach. i settled for a young punk. it swims like an arowana. hehe

This is sand storm - very impressive picture given that it is hard to take picture of a pleco.

i try to dig them out for a picture. the sandstorm is actually a mistake. wrong choice of substrate in the little photo studio we set up.
in the main tank the owner actually has to dig it out from the DW via a stick. :o
still exploring other ways to take pictures of them, esp those that are in the breeding program with minimal disturbance :confused:
