Jus for discussion saek, if i go on with S size, the risk is fatality due to force traping of smaller male and not ready female? or the fellow simply just cant fit into it?

I've notice trapping death from young adults.
Most of the full grown ones seems to know better then play the game to the end.
Another point is newly acquanted fish versus fish that have lived together for some time.
Fish in the latter know each other better and repect the heirachy that has been established among them.
A "safe way" is to always introduce fish into a tank witout caves first.
Then after some time ( a fews days to a few weeks depending on your death tolerance) you can add the caves.
The period allows them to establish who ranks where.

saw at least 1 of them look like female, out of 5 pcs that i was looking at. The rest hidden behind the DW. Me not buying so never scoop out and see. Think this batch of WC is in good condition. BTW, NKS got pairs of male and female for you to choose. Long time never been there, wonders is it still available.

Cave size issue?

Lets open up .... discuss!
Note: these are wild fishes, correct? It will take them 'awhile' and mileage may varies! seriously speaking.
btw, what is your set up like?
you said that you found some fries, it means you have done something correct, somehow somewhat. what is the younger batch of zebras? are they wild as well? relax...i don't mean sexually wild. I meant wild caught..
let me know :)

The two groups are house in separate tanks.
The featured group are suppose wild caught which the seller claimed when he bought from C328. they are 3.5"-4". 3 males and 1 female
The younger group are German bred. 2.5"-3". i think 1 or 2 females out of 7.

The two tanks are filtered using a Tetra 120. Both tank water is interlink.
Breeding cave: S size
Feeding once a day with cani pellet
WC: once or sometime twice a week, 20%
All caves are "sovered" with DW or rocks
The location of my tank is in the living room where movement of human is high and room lighting turn on and off irregularly.
Lapis sand is used aso.......
What else did i missed?
Yeah, i just introduced a M size cave now to the WC group.
:)

either the exporter did a very good job to condition them well cos now they can fetch higher price or they are just not wild caught...... :D
