Pleco FAQ Information Collation

Hi all PlecoClub members,

We are looking to gather information for the FAQ/knowledge base for pleco species. Preferably, we can get data from hobbyists here for the pleco profiles, where/when/how to buy plecos etc.

Add on to the list here to indicate your interest on which plecos you are interested in doing a profile on. Other useful information is welcome! :)

Not showering cold blanket ... but speaking from an administration and technical point of view ...

Will we be doing a replica of the following websites?
- Plecofanatics.com > PlecoPedia
- PlanetCatfish.com

Some questions that I believe should be answered prior pumping in resources:
- FAQ in Forum Threads style are always there in plecofanatics, arofanatics or even planetcatfish ... but often tedious to refer to ...
- How can we deviate and do something different ... ie. Singapore style?
- Anyone maintaining or moderating?
- How regimental or enthus are we about this?

Believe there r numerous white elephants or equivalents of such online resources ... often shall the spark grow into a big bang fire (Thumbs Up) ... else it'll be a waste of resources ... database, web design, configuration and such ...

Personally am looking at something the scale of wikipedia or PlecoPedia as per offered by Plecofanatics.com ... but in a much local aka Singapore style ..

Bro actually I think what we can do is to improvise on what has been already offered. The id from other sites seem to be very generic. Like for food they always put there "they are carnivors hence any meaty food can be offered" What we can put here is " these guys are omnivores and local hobbyists have successfully fed them with mp, hum etc etc" I believe this would be a better way to help local hobbyists. Another thing is WC. Remember aquarama? They do not know how to use anti chlorine and their fish died. We can touch on that aspect as well since every country has different water parameter. :)
