One of my L25, a 12" Standard Length L25 up lorry (with caudal easily 15") ... due to a stupid mishap or accident ...

IOUS clogged thus water cannot be returned into main compartment via powerhead and OHF ... thus result in suffocation from low oxygen dissolvement ...

Morning madam wake up .. see all fishes heavy breathing at water surface (even blood parrots are up there, something wrong) .... hear noise coming from pump return compartment .. GAME OVER ....

Water start to foul (smell heavy ammmonia) ... cos water is stagnant throughout the nite ...

Look for casualities ... all 03 x L25 become "sao felix" with one "peng san" already gills not moving ...

* Remedy action
- activate air pumps with 3 air tubes in.
- active carbon added to clear ammonia
- madam help to CPR the 03 x L25 by blowing in bubbles and current into mouth via powerhead ....
- Unclogged the IOUS by cleaning the bio sponge.
- water change 20% to remove excessive ammonia

* Visual 2 hours later
- Aro, blood parrots and fei feng colour back to normal ... no more pale and slants
- Only 02 x L25 recovered from "sao felix" syndrome (lucky full caudal fella still alive)
- 01 x biggest L25 game over ...

*SAD* *SAD* *SAD*

Will see hows things tonite after my lesson .. :(

appreciate all well wishes ..

believe this could have been avoided ... but how often will individuals climb up to see their IOUS filter compartments?

Best part is that its hidden and facing the wall with oyama blocking ....

Lesson learnt ... reference of all whom r still using IOUS
