Dear all,
any kind soul care to enlighten me the above mentioned? Are they the same or different? PCF categorised them differently. L64 max at 60cm whereas the Pseuda histrix at 80cm, but they look the same to me. Please advise.
Cheers

it was ever suggested to me tat the length of the pectoral is one way to id them...... Longer = P. histrix, any other suggestion? :)

By the way, apart from the pics in PCF, are there any other pic that we can compare with.
Does P.Hystrix something that none of us are interested in, juz like the normal L001, that ain't much info are given for them??
The only distinctive features about them, will be their length of pectoral, i guess. maybe a flatter n rounder head, as compare to L64's sharper head features.
something like this:
Note the extra long pectoral, it maybe a L25 or a L25x64 or another defect-borned very long pectoral L25.

Believed to be a P.hystrix ( cant read jap, so can only deduce from its features)

Nice pictorial illustration ...
Markings on this fella does some how resemble a wormline mega rather than a L25 ...
Would agree that its a hybrid

whenever i saw this fellow, i drool and wet mine pants.....
BAck to the topic, maybe if we can clearly diff out the distinctive characteristic of L64, maybe it will help.....
like wat chilli suggest, head shape could be a way of id-ing them.... maybe...

Something interesting.
The L64 is refered as Pseudacanthicus hystrix rio topajos while the other hystrix that we are mentioning are from rio xingu.
How on earth, they called the same name but looks so different???
