Can someone pls tell me how this ACDC air pump works? It needs a battery or something like that right. All I know about this thing is when there is a short circuit this thing starts to work to oxygenate the water. :o

there is a rechargable battery pack built in the pump, And a convertor to convert AC to DC to charge the pump and at the same time run the pump..... to ensure ur batt pack last long, try to turn on the main AC supply and let the pump run on DC power supply to drain out battery thereafter recharge again by turning on the AC power supply......

by the way say so much dun write or wrg.... lol :)

Bro you mean after charging then once a while I got to use it to drain all the electricity out then recharge it again? What does this do? Lengthen the lifespan of the batt?

rechargable batts tends to have "memory effect" resulting in capacity deterioration ... so full drains reduces yet doesnt totally eleminate this sydrome ...

The main thing is the ACDC capability that I'm looking for, as dunno why PUB likes to do electrical maintenace almost every other month at my estate, with period of up to 2hrs w/o electricity supply

Everything has a life-span hence draining enable you to determine " specified duration ". :)

This is very bad. 2 hours!?! Big fishes like aro, koi and big cats will die. I think you need back up power supply more than ACDC air pump cos it just not powerful enough.

So far my fishes all survived the last 2 big electrical outage, which were caused by water from burst pipes going from my submersible pump to my OHF, wetting the supply point. 1 of them was as long as 4hrs

So I think an ACDC air pump will be the bare minimum for my commando fishes :p

Ok. Thats good. Only those who understand can afford to overcrowd their tanks. Just like the Japanese hobbyists :)
