I have a pair of L270 kept together with a pair of L177 Golden nuggets in a 3.5 feet by 2 feet tank. The male L270 and the L177 pair are often seen chasing each other(small fight maybe) during mealtimes, nothing serious as these last only at most 5 seconds. The 3 are well fed, but the female L270's belly seems flat(not hollow) and notice she does not join in the feeding frenzy as I think she may be bullied? Should I partition the tank to fatten her up? The 2 species will be separated soon as some stuff is settled.

Hi bro, the tank size look more den comfortable to house 4 plecos..... try spreading the feed around the tank round than just throwing it in one consolidate area...... this feeding method will help reduce fights and promote beta and even growth among them........... suffice hiding hideout is aso impt....
Cheers :)

Food is usually rather spread out...guess will spread it more and see. got 3 pieces of driftwood and 3 pieces of PVC pipes. Will be either getting more wood or build slate/stone cave.

Try to give different kinds of food. Anyway, your tank is roomy enough for 4 plecos. No cause for concern. Just watch her closely. Maybe that's her character due to tankmates being so active.

Put a glass divider to let the bullied female recuperate. Had slight hollow belly for a while there but now recovered, hoping to fatten it up now :D Notice that it does not eat the tetrabits though the other 3 plecos gobble them up. Wonder why as while at the shop(for 2 months) she was eating them heartily, now suddenly touch also dun wan

Will be feeding bloodworm to fatten her up(also the only thing she eats at this moment).
Think will try without cory for a while, see whether can get her to eat other stuff other than bloodworm after she fattens up. Putting a divider seems to do her well.
