Fights mean it is good sign to mating. celticfish calls it frisky behaviour if I remember correctly.
Usually the male will park in this favourite cave and defend other potential suitors or occupants. They want to be on superior ground so that female will choose him when she arrive to inspect the cave. If things are alright - the female will be trapped and spawning could occur.
Also, this is a period of time when juvenile male get killed in the cave when the alpha male went out to eat only to find that his cave is being occupied by that unworldly juvenile male. Trapped and bite to death.
In conclusion - choose them very carefully.

Bro barmby and edmundo, I think there is a trapping in the cave now cant be sure 100% cause the cave is rather dark and it seemed like saw 2 fish inside the cave. Unless my eyes playing trick on me.
Here, I would like to ask that, if there are really 2 fishes inside the cave and I not too sure whether is it 1M1F or 2M. Should I intervene now to separate them? Just in case both are male and one of it would be bitten to death? Any behavior to observe if it is the case of 2M inside the cave? Thanks

Thanks bro edmundo, think you are right, calculated risk must be taken. But think I have disturbed it by shining too much into e cave. Now only left 1 fish inside e cave only.
