breeding peppermints

i recently brought a piad of peppermints about 12cms mark
theyr in my 3 foot tank for a bout 2 months now aer tehre anytricks i can get them started?
i noticed taht the male had always been in the cave after 1 week but apart from that tehre are no other signs.
any advice plz?

I think good feeding and regular water change will do alot to help them condition.
