Thomas, nice pseudas u have. I have doubt that the 2nd pc was a L63, thou auntie was selling them.
Anyway, both are nice. Keep a lookout, ur "L63" will grow very fast, compared to the others.

maybe a clearer pic can help............ IMo, base on the big piece tat landed c328 during tat time, i speculate iz could be L185/L185/L320. Or maybe jus another pseudacanticus sp. (undescribe) :)

It could be either a L186 or a L343. Reason behind is that both species does have HuWen on its head. L185 have markings but not covering the whole head. I t will have to depends when it gets bigger, does it have a longer snout. it yes, then mostly likely its a L186, provided that it does have tail extension.

L343 have a shorter snout and higher body, but not of a GSHW. It also does not have any long tail extension, like other L24/25 have. Simply a short tail fellow, like L600.
L320 was a total blackie, not even a wen on its body, neither its fins.

Remember that the fish that i have send for SP comp, a total blackie, but with markings on the fins. Thus it cant be a L320, but i have managed to tikum one out from auntie in that batch of shipment.

If we can remember that time, auntie came a bigger piece, written as L63, inside her aro tank, thats was exactly similar to what thomas n me was having. But too bad, it went to heaven liao. Sadz.

i do have a larger specimen of L343, comparing with this little fellow, base coloration wise is different (guess it could be too small for such comparison).

it could be closer to a L186 then since it has got a little tail extension. hopefully i can keep this little fellow well, let it grow bigger and we can have a better comparison:)

My term of tail extension are not those short kinds. Maybe i dunno how to phrase it. I do agree that all pseudas have this distinct features, but im refering to those like A.Adonis that kind.
Juz like L600, L114, L24 tuccuri. They arent distinct with long whiptails.
IF they happen to have one, i am more eager to own one.
Juz like owning a black eye L25, or a spotless L273. There is a possibility that there is one out there, but the chance of having one is slim.

I believe both of us have the same specimen that auntie have, since we got from the same batch. I wun say that it is exactly 100% the same, but the possibilities are higher from their distinct features.

There are two type:
1) Whiptail : L24 tocantis,adonis, L90
2) extension : long but hard type
3) Half F*^k extension : short pointed protruding type

is this wat u mean? Or aree there any other type?

so u mean L343 should have the 3rd typelisted above?

This is a L343 tat i once had.

Note that the tail "extension" is short but not hard type, which i would categorise under ur 3rd type.

This, to me is a long tail extension, which are of ur "whiptail" category:

Juz hope this helps. I believe we are refering to the same thing, but using different names to it.

This thread has proved very interesting for me, I picked up a 4" Psueda last week described as L65 Blizzard Cactus - how ever it has markings on its belly, tail and head, the markings are squigly lines (Like an L66 or 333 etc....) The store also had a 10" L63, as the assistant was catching he commented that these little ones looked really like that large one, they have 2 smaller ones left, should I be picking them up aswell?

Do post the pics of the 10inch L63. i an wandering how does it looks like cos they are so much confusion between the L63 between PCF/aqualog and the Japanese publications.
