Any1 keep pleco w/o DW??

Any bros/sis keep pleco in bare tank w/o DW??issit ok without DW??what is the use for DW beside giving them a hiding place, for them to chew and keep water soft. And why pleco chew DW?issit to help them to digest like chewing gum?:D:p

u comm it wif ur aro?... i used to keep mine L600 w/o any DW for a couple of yrs..... cos i'm afraid mine aro will injure by the branchy DW.

But n0w i add DW cos there is more den one pseuda, so i add to reduce fights...

DW does able to assist softening of water.,...

PLecos of all sort will chew on DW, so iz g00d to add..... if u keep panaque... a must ba.....

Wat pleco u intend to keep, i did read some where nana is seldom touch by plecos but there are some bros here having different opinion..... pseuda certainly cant be bother with nanas...

choose those less branchy type DW.... tats wat i do..... :)

Got last time when I just started out that time I threw a L330, small one, into a tank without DW but the fellow died the next day. This is my first pleco lesson. Keep them with DW to minimise stress :o

hi, where to get quality DW? how to u prepare it for ur tank? i read that u need to boil and scrub with with brush to remove dirt? pls advise

I'm not sure how u define quality but genrally most dw are the same. Pour boil water on it should be suffice............

For bogwood, u need to soak it for a longer period
