Latest spawned from L400...sorry for the poor pictures:o
1st spawned discovered on the 24 July (only 2 eggs)
2nd spawned discovered on 06 Aug (25 eggs)
Very surprised in the space of 2 weeks, spawned twice... maybe the 1st time the female did not lay all her eggs due to "inexperience"
I only can ID the father....but the mother....sorry...dun kow which one
Will try to post parents pictures... :)

As you know, they are very shy fishes and as you can see...the tanks are directly into my main door which I tend to open it quite often and it will be "bright". Also covering up will also minimise disturbance to the fishes where we tend to walk around and so on. :)
Overall, it helps so far as my L400 and L236 spawned :)

I see, thanks! I'll go check it out. I saw the water flow is controlled by the airpump of something right? If not how does the water flow in and out of the breeder box? And is the flow suitable enough? :o
I just lost my batch of common bristle nose eggs due to me being too excited and flashing lights into the cave too often :(.. at least a lesson learn..
Now im just keeping my fingers crossed that my Hypans (lower xingu) would breed for me :o

There is a control button for you to control the airflow and water into the breeder box. (of course must connect to the main pump)
Hope it helps :)

Amazing - great accomplishment
Most breeders have small spawn of 10-12 eggs of which 60% survival rate is archived.
Keep up the good work.

Just some updates...1st spawned in July and continue till Oct 2011.
Every batch is about 20+ eggs. So far survival rate is as mentioned earlier.
