both look really the same when small, like v hard to diff btw a juv G1 red and G2 red.so how can we be sure if we r getting a small xanto and be sure that its not chubby?coz xanto no cert like aro.

Correct me if i'm wrong, xantos and chubby may look alike bit xanto is either jet black or yellow (healthy) L56 is is greyish seldom u see a jet black fellow, even if in a black tank. This is base on wat i see... another features to see if lumpy finnages..... L56 will never have the lumpy finnage of Xantos.... :)
As for G1 red and G2 red......... g0 for horse shoe marking on scale.... right? :p Unless the G1 red is the F*^K grade,,, g0 horse shoe de, den i nothng to sae......:)

bro,G1 red and G2 red also got Horseshoe when Juv lah be it super grade or lousy grade, only thing is when the aro grow bigger the G1 red the horseshoe will not be so obvious like G2 red. next time drink kopi/tea we can discuss abt aro, now me just learn how to keep pleco so need to learn more.
Bk to Xanto, when small the ray fin is lumpy meh??do u have pic to show me how to see its lumpy vs chubby not lumpy.

Guys, don't forget the closely related LDA46 with beautiful wormlike markings. About a year back FH brought in a couple. Wonder who got them.....
