Pleco Tankmate Thread

What tankmates is your preferred choice of tankmates......

To me, frankly speaking with no doubt sometime plecos alone may look boring.... thou mine passion is there for them. Hence i prefer eather eaters (geopahagus), SA catfishes.... yet to try cories althot i know tat iz a good mix cos, these cory will also be a g00d snack for min aro.

Currently mine mix is geophagus, but i find this cichlid too fast in eating up the sinking pellets. I have another tank which is Feifeng and i do find it more appropriate since FF tends to eat at a lower speed (FF dun why, always eat spit eat spit). Seem to be a g00d mix..... :)

Ideally should be from the same biotope, mine (current and previous ) are :
Surface : Hachet and leaf-fish
Mid : Spotted silver dollars and FF
Bottom : Cories

leaf-fish sound interesting......... i like...... u keep with which pleco? feeding live fish? i kept hachet too... total five.... but all fly out and left one piece oni.. :(

They're very interesting ! master of camouflage ! used to keep them in the Plec comm., the only prob. is that you need to feed them with live fish ! I usually feed them with guppies fries ( for smaller ones ) or neon ( for bigger ones ).
Yah ! that is the prob. with hachet ! that is why most of my earlier tanks are with cover and 3/4 filled ! :(

Tong, ask the " new property agent " to bring in those wild caught ones from amazon not those captive bred in Indonesia ! the same 3 pcs that AF Ben took during the recent Brazil shipment ! chumpion ! like piranha ! :D

ERH no prob ... all five still alive .. only SSD left 4 pieces from 7 I think ... so total got 9 pieces zooming for carnivore pellets ...

ERH recovered from aro bite ... cos shifted to pleco tank ..

Now the rear of the tank is sealed and closed !

I'll help you eat some ! coz looking for male replacement ! :)
