bloated problem

added 100grams of epsom salt to my3ft tank
bloated pleco start to poo ok at the start then came the curly transparent poo :(

wat's the next step i should approach now? :confused:

did u feed during the dosage?

cos i suspect the transparent poo is due to stopage of feeding......... the initial poo which is "ok" maybe be residue from earlier feeding........... hence need n0t wori much, what pleco is tat? ur new L160?

use online calculator to cal dosage required for your tank:

0.1% of epsom salt for plecos should do fine ...

- dissolve first .. warm/hot water can be used to dissolve salt
- add slowly into your tank ... away from plecos or at rainbars where possible
- in event that plecos start to breath heavily or fast, stop adding
- when plecos stabalise, continue adding

with above steps, u should have no problems adding epsom salt or even aquarium salt into your tank

ya its the 160 dun seem to shit much n keep gaining weight :(

so fat now tat the tummy can see a dividing in the center

You better start treatment for internal parasite !, this problem quite common among the spikey fella. :)

my camera hp 2mega nia dun tink can get a clear shot :o
jus tat the anal area can see sometink sticking out jus that there is no reddness compare to an aro's PA :o

anyway will be getting the OF 3rd gen med frm 328 todae to stand by over the weekend..

really need to be caution abit, imagine becos of this, the tank ph drop till 5 and i gotta change 500L of smelly water, afraid that the rest are in danger as well.

In fact, not all 160 are prone to such such fatness. Out of my 9 L160, only 2 of them have this problem, the rest still masculine.

ya, it was dead in the morning,i guess. when i come home at nite, it was floating on the top n the water was milky brown, the whole tank stinks sia. the rest of my fishes mostly sunken eye. i have to do a partial 100% wc then add ph powder to buffer the ph back to normal.

Wow lucki the rest is fine............ i find tat when plecos die, they can be destructive as compared to other fishes......... i dead specimen stuck in DW which you cant see can easily wipe out the entire tank...i kena before......... tat carcass stuck inside a pipe...... den...... mai kor kong liao :mad:

tell u to feed alternate days, u never listen. always want to pump your fish till they look like pigs:mad: u think they have so much food in Amazon river ar...
