I am thinking of adding one more tray of media for my 3X2X2 tank. Can someone advise me on what are the recommended medias? Initially I had wanted to use bacteria house but was warned against it because they disintegrate. Biohome is out of my league as my budget is limited. Please throw in all your thoughts. :D

momotaro one is believe should not have major concerns ....

but the ones I got from evil merchant .. I think its the nanotaro version works pretty well for me leh ... think smelly smelly 6 months liao ...

or on tight budget ... porous ceramic rings should do well also .. :D

but more important factor ... u wanna achieve bio or mech filtration?

Ai yoh of course bio lah. I have been looking for porous CR but can't seem to find any leh. Those sold by LFS are normally very smooth so smooth that last time somebody told me it's smoother than his butt :D. Other than Mr Aqua which fetches a premium do you have any recommendations that are cheap and good?:o

some of those that I see he use for his farm is very good leh ...

but CR can get pretty heavy one hor ... dun end up center brace give way .. rofl ..

if you don't mind, i have 2 litres to give away. seems like porous CR. i won't say it's smooth like butt, a tad powdery though. and 1 litre of sustrat (looks eheim) it came supplied with my 2080; was packed in the big box together with the cannister.

i've purchased enough ehfimech/substrat pro and biohome plus to top it up. so don't think i'll use it in a while. rather than have it disintegrate, might as well pass it to you. it should be enough to fill up 2 trays for your OHF. let me know yah.:)
