View Full Version : New Life Spectrum anyone tried this?
There have been great reviews on New Life Spectrum (NLS) and it seems to be the "in" food hence, may I know if anyone has tried this food? I got myself a bottle of it during Aquarama but I have been feeding it sparingly thus the effect of it cannot be observed. It was recommended in their website to feed NLS exclusively for 10 days to see the positive differences and if there are not they will do a refund. http://nlsfishfood.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=12&Itemid=60
As I feed on alternative days, I think this experiment will take slightly more than a month to complete. Anyway I'll start my experiment today. One thing positive about this food that I can comment is that it does not disintegrate easily even after it has been ****ed up by my OHF and constantly hit by the water sprayed out from the hose.
This link also claims that NLS is so good that sensitive marine fishes can thrive on it. http://www.newlife.ipbhost.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=66&pid=283&st=0&#entry283

Oh and one last important thing to note about this product. It claims to not contain any hormones in it.

Seems like they're more meant for fishes other than plecos...
Do your plecos eat them when u feed them???

Their wafer is meant for plecs. Initially my plecs don't really seem interested in it but over time they got used to it. They are not as interested in it as compared to carni pellets, tetra bits and hikari algae wafer.

i never try before but i dun think ur comment is a good thing.......... if it does not degrade fast, means the food may be heavily mixed with preservative.... good? think abt it......... :)

I agree on the price. I just went to C328 to check out the price of NLS. For the medium sized can, similar to the one shown on the website costs $14. Its volume is definitely lesser than the hikari medium pack.

Not degrade bro. I meant it doesn't break up easily in water. However you have a point there. They might have added lots of binding agents to hold it which is something I'm not very receptive of.
