L001 to us also longkang fish wat ..

but "ang moh" treat them like .......... *shall not comment* ....

btw, almost every LFS in Singapore, u'll see 1 or 2 asian arowanas ... but its pretty rare in countries like aussie and US ...

Food for thought ... when u tell pple in Singapore that u r keeping fish, First Reply: "You keep 'Kim Leng' ahh? (U keep gold arowana?)" ... its that common in Singapore

thomas, suddenly it gives me an assumption that urs might be a orange-based L185, given that the body markings n head structure matches those tat u wanted to buy together. Just tat the colour tone is different.

Does that reminds u of the reddish tail L185 with zebra markings clinking onto the DW at NKS????

hmmm....besides coloration...this pc has got rather large spots on its finnage which is different from the 185/186/343...

frankly, i seen all the five pieces tat touches our shore, onli the smallest piece i dare not confirm, the rest i'm confident they are L375. The orange tinted finnage may be due to stress during transportation. The belly marking are all regular spotted on grey belly (iz a spinosus). What makes me so sure is the mixature of wavy patterns and spot marks and the marking on the finnage.compare it with the big boy i posted earlier...... not forgetting the body shape........ they are all bulkier den L160.

Mine hiding among dw so cant snap it leh......... :(

Certainly a spinosus, the bold spots make it looks like a L160, however, some L160 has fine spots thou....... this fellow has someshort wormline and that why i stick it up for discussion........ :)

saw those wavy marks? this fellow is certainly not a black pseuda hence, L185,L86,L343 are ruled out.

MArking on finnage is spotted/patchy identical to a spinosus L160.... wat else could it be? i am suggesting that the body marking we see n0w is likely to take a change when it get more settle.........

any other views? :)
