View Full Version : Rio Xingu
When so much talk have been going around saying that a dam will be built at Rio Xingu and that the damage will cause L46 to extinct, do you think there is a possibility that our L27 xingu will be endangered? :D I was thinking of whether to stock up L27 xingu or not :o :D

my perception is that plecs can be found everywhere where the distributaries are connected................... their area of influence can stretch over a wide area......................probably that's why the ID of certain species of plecs and cories are so difficult as the similiarities are so close....................... wat do you think???????????????????
on a side note, get in more xingus....................... you never know......................:D

Talking about them distributing..... I've thought about this but I'm kind of skeptical if L27 xingu will look the same as those we get now. After the dam is built, most probably we'll start saying 'last time the xingu don't look like this leh, last time one the head more tapered etc etc' :D Then everyone will look for the one piece that has the 'normal' look :D

tats a good idea............ anyway sometime u go tengah buy feeders right? if u really wants i help you keep a look out for any taking over. but u need at least S$500 to take over a fence up mud base concrete pond with only air pump supply and water FOC. monthly is S$50 exculdes food. size = a carpark lot.

yup but tat will depends on size of tat pond. currently no empty pond. But the catch is taking over of fencing works which may cost as high as 500-600 depends on previous "owner" :)
