Got hold of this fellow during end 2006. It was a trip made to pick up a piece of mega, ended up chance upon this fellow from a tank of juv. L97s and L282s. This fellow caught my eyes while i was trying to differentiate L97 from L282. And if not because of this mix up of L97 and L282, i believe i would have missed this fellow out.
Current size : Approx. 3.5", bought it at 2"

both eyes are gone?
Bro I have personally seen this piece and the unique thing is it doesn't even have eye sockets  but it can still look for food and knows how to fight with the other plecos in its comm tank when it was still in the LFS. :D

for itz size against BNs or hypan ... sure no prom, i once comm it with my juv AA, he g0t no chance.. so no choice i move the AA out of itz tank.... so now he enjoy himself alone with 2 BNs in a 2ftx1.5x1.5 tank... as for the AA, upgrade to 4x2x2 but ended up kena bullied by a L282, so aso g0t transfered to a 2x1.5x1.5 tank... all alone..... :)
hahaha do transfer of fish affects their health?

stress is a definite issue..... imo, so long your water parameter is n0t too far off, things shld be fine. i transfer fish depend on mood.... sometimes i just throw it in some time i mix the water in the old tank with the new tank.... if your maintenance and setup of the tanks in your house is consistent and identical parameter shld be abt there, and will n0t deviate too much. so transfer within them is n0t a issue at all.....
