My 12 inch peru green drop more than 10 pieces of 5 inch chew chew overnight. Is it normal?

That's normal ! they will grow back next mating season ! :)

Could it be the recent hot weather that triggered the shedding?

Based on my observation ( from my panaque ) last qtr of year to early qtr of the following year. :)
