The first is likely to be imported as a L97 but what it is i dare not speculate. A pseudacanthicus sp.? THis one of these days, L97 may need to be named as a, b, c etc..........

The second is a chocolate chip pseudacanthicus, L160. But, it is flat from head onwards, tinted red finnage, spotless head, which are traits of L96 but skin color is the issue........... good catch........... i have a similar L160, im observing the skin coloration transformation at the moment aso. Jus like u, i keep in black tank.

Recalling GEcko's L96 which is now in hands of Eric, the fish althot well fed, the body contour from nose up to it shoulder is "flat" althot muscular. Eric, can show some pics? or even MX, he has the most SPinosus pseudacanthicus.

cheers

full body shot......please.
Head photos hard to ID.
Does this got orange-tinted long lyre tail??? if got, then the possibility is higher.

btw, regarding ur recent purchase, it looks soemthing new. Maybe it is another variant of L97,but it definetely different from the one i got. Here's the pic:

the head structure is somehow short with a higher hump.

Guys, i starting to think L97 comes in various markings and patterns........ full tiny spotted, wormline, mixture of wormline and tiiny spots, white patchy marking.......

Great sharing from MX and Thomas......... as spoken wif henry, we should keep what we have now and groom them to see the changes... :)

CHeers..........
