thinking to upgrade pleco tank

kinda stuck with the idea of getting a 4x1.5x1.5 or a 4x2x2 from my current setup of a 3ft tank

current pleco collection 3 x spiky size ard 7" - 8"

any bro keeps thier mid size pleco in a 4x1.5 can attach picture :o

as so i can picture how would mine look in 1 if i do get a 4x1.5 size tank instead

If u have space go for 2.5ft width. Can add more DW for your plecos to hide :)
My 5x2.5x2 with IOS only 3 Scobbies, but already the filter wool need to change once every 3 days :mad:

I feed them algae/carni pellets everyday.
Even when I was out of town for 2 weeks, and they were not fed, my wife had to help change the filter wool once every 2~3 days :eek:
They do eat lots of DW, even when there's no other food for them :rolleyes:

Hi Tuestar, if can got for min. 2ft width it is more idea in choice as the surface area is bigger, dun forget spikey can be terrortorial at times....... :)

3 x spikeys in 4 by 2 by 2 no prob .... (10", 12", 13")

as long as got bigger terror inside can liao ... my 22" RTG .. rofl ..

13" L24 now become 12" liao ... cos dorsal and caudal fin kena wack by RTG ...

I am using old tank for my panaques but last time Lao Huang a.k.a OKT a.k.a yongwahng advised that bracing on the inside is recommended as the plecs be it panaques or pseudas will not be able to chew on the silicon and hence prevent leaks.

yaps but my poor 24 always got chase out by either 160 or 25 :(
