While shifting tank furniture around, I discovered that one of my starlight bristlenoses (L183) may have been brutally attacked by another pleco (probably one of the hypancistrus).
It had half of its body shredded up, at the places nearer to the tail end, I can see the bone exposed..
The fish is still breathing normally, although the belly has sunken in, as have the eyes... It is now in a breeder trap for isolation and specialised care... but does not appear to have eaten any of the food items (2 different brands of commercial pleco food) I've thrown in...
Please help, that L183 is my mom's fav pleco...and has been with us for almost 2 years..
