How you know I also like photography? Anyway, haven't taken pictures for the longest time. Kind of gave up on it due to hectic schedule.

Most of my plecos are run of the mill stuff (e.g. L128, L200, L66, L333, L75 etc). Nothing quite as spectacular as most of you guys. Still, I enjoy my plecos very much.

Sorry for the late reply, to answer your question; it is 30 at the very minimum and 31 max. It does not fluctuate much. So it was worrying. Now with the chiller it is at 26/27. I have brought it down to 25 before.

Wow from 30 to 25 :eek: the electricity cost must be high. Bro you might want to keep it at around 28? I find plecs appetite drops when the temp is on the low side

Surprisingly the water maintains at 26 rather easily. It switches off once it hits 26 but fires up when it sense it is 27+

bigger tanks are often more forgiving to mistakes ...

would advise to start with a bigger tank where given/possible ...

i have two tanks with PH higher than 7.5, probably, u need to track the nitrogen by-products at good level. The most critical issue you need to look into is your filtering system. If this is well taken care of, things should go on course. :)

i would say i seldom track, jus discipline myself to oblige according to at least once a week WC regime.

Clearing everyday is good but i would say tiring, u dun wana want fish keeping a chore more den a hobby right? :)

I'm Alan, 32 and been into fishes most of my life, my dad is on his 2nd LFS and started working in fish shops when I was 11.

I have a Trigon 350, which is currently well stocked with plecs, I also have several tanks in the Quarantine room in the shop Fishy Friends Aquatics (bit far for most of you to travel though)

I am currently trying to breed Gold Nuggets, and this tank was set up for that purpose. However I keep adding more and more plecs so the breeding idea is on the back burner. I although I plan to set up a 4 footer with 4/5 big powerheads just for my large GNs. Heres my current fish list....

1pr L81 (11" male & 8" female)
4 L18 (5-6")
1 L248 Baryancistrus
2 L136 Hypancistrus Sp.
1 4" L025 Psuedacanthicus Sp. Scarlet
1 4" L? Psuedacanthicus Sp. (Similar to L185/186) 2 more on the way
1 6" L190
1 3" Tiger Panaque L?
1 8" L27 Xanthic (Black Eyed Panaque)
1 7" L090? Papa (it has orangey extensions)
1 4" L027c Xingu

Next week I'm picking lots more Psueda's (mainly dark variants L number TBC with your help) including 15" 7 pointer super red scarlet and a lovely 8" L600 for a friend.

Ive been to aquarama 3 times already.... ive won on one occassion during betta contest:D Sir Edmund how does one join in pleco contest because betta easy can send via ems and no need quarantine can even handcarry from airport to suntec or keep in hotel 2 days but pleco how... will there be a host in Sg willing to lend a tank for grow out or grooming? Im most certainly interested with persons who are willing to help bench in or groom one month before hand... but in pleco cases have to buy now because next may not sure if got pleco in season if you get the gist of what im trying to say??

Hey guys, to start off my introduction here.

My name is Irwin and I'm from Malaysia. Introduced to the pleco hobby in singapore by Johannes 2 - 3 years ago. Been keeping plecos way before that but only got serious 2 - 3 years ago.

Hi all,
Names Stan, form Canada but live in Shenzhen, PRC for the past 12 years and I truly enjoy it!
I currently have 4 tanks running at home and a pond at the inlaws in Shao Guan
Tank1: 25gal w/1x L169 plus a few tetra
Tank2: 110gal W/1x L128, 1x L114, 2x juvie rhino plus clown loaches, bala sharks and a few cories.
Tank3: 70gal with bichirs 1X L001 andmy pride 10" BGK
Tank4: 200gal Big albino common plec, silver dollars, severums and Uarus

Luckily Mrs. Stan also loves animals and supports me in the hobby.
We also have 3 dogs and a mynah bird.
I get into Hong Kong goldfish street about once a month or so and to Guangzhou fish market about twice a year.
