Unlikely, imo. Fungal attack is likely the cause of chip or lost scale. :)

Ur fish got it? i would maybe it could be....... cos im giving it as a hobbyist opinion hence may not be 100% true. :)

Scratches is definitely a common sign cos pineapples is torny, so long u can spend 1hr at least on them seeing n observing, no major outbreak at all. :)
