bichirs seriously dun mix well with the omnivores ...

advise for your fren ... sole survivor would likely be the bichir and algae eaters ...

not very viable because bichirs have high bioload, unless your friend wants to keep opening up his coffee table for maintenance..

Guys, you know why i wrote this.. because bichir will swallow the SAE, CAE and tiger barbs first.. Later, they will go for others as they grow bigger.

My uncle's tank used to have bichirs swallowing all his tiger loaches !

Maybe your expat fren likes to watch carnivorous displays of big fish eat small fish :confused:
Why not sugeest him to keep blue whale catfish instead, he can add in any other types of fish, which he feels like watching being torn up by another fish :rolleyes:

Anyway, just joking abt the grostesque things fish can do to 1 another, better advise him to keep to compatible fish.

Barmby, if i were you, i will advice him to comm all pedatory fishes...birchir, payara, silver aro, oscar................. wah can you imagine, feeding them while u sip tea/coffee? I always see youtube got angmoh feed living rat to their pihrama........... u mus undertsd hie taste............. :D
