Breeding sex mix

Hi,

Rcently have been hearing news of successful breeding among kakis. Congras to all these successful keepers!

From these successful people, hope to get you view of your suggested breeding sex mix. i understand that eash has it own theory, hence do not be hesitant to share. Mostly importantly, i believe there is no right of wrong answer i would say.

Jus as a sharing of experience.

For me, im trying to breed L144 and hypancistrus. My L144 consist of 1M n 4F and my hypancistrus consist of 4M n 1F. So far, i oni see SHIT!

Most of the female plec species, the " recovery time/period " ie from the time she laid her eggs to the next session is ranging from 2 weeks to 4 weeks , Dwarf Royal Twig is about 2 weeks, L046 is about 4 weeks, L144 is also 4 weeks etc hence you need more alpha males than female, if not the alpha male will chase the period batch of fries out of the cave in order to make room for her, this arrangement will overwork the alpha male and he will KO. :( :D
