if iz 3", price look reasonable, i may be wrong though. Lets from from some other mates to assist. :)

it is already hard to sex the fish in person so using pic only is even more challenging....

If it was my money and I have to decide based on the pic, and if they are wild caught and newly imported (not well fed in captivity), I would guess they are a pair, male on left female on right.

IMO, nonetheless, the head is still smaller for a female and bigger for a male, even tought the body maybe broad. am i right?

The broadness of the head is in relation to the body hence at 3" ( already a full grown adult ), if they are male they should be broader (for the head as well as the body ), anyway I'm no expert, still need a frontal pic for confirmation. :)

This 3.5" male has a " my thumb size" head broadness. ( plan view ) :)

i also observe this characteristic in male adults hypancistrus, is that for mature fishes, say 3", they bound to have protruding "cheeks" at the gill area (viewing from the top). Wonder if it is correct.
From Champ pic, can't really make out the chew chew - maybe I old already can't see well !. :D a frontal pic will be good to confirm. :)
