Do you have a top view of both fishes and a shot on their genitals ??
The 1st fish, looks like a male to me.
2nd is a 50-50. Although the stomach looks alittle rounder and less spikes on the pectoral and cheek, i cant confirm if it is a female. Most likely another Male to me.
this is another female that i have, her features are totally different from yours.

Head:
I have my "theory" of sexing them, you may wish to view form the top, head of a male likely to be "U" and female "V".
Finnages:
Like wat Mr. Ingo mentioned, females also inherit smaller finnage in comparison with her partner, which is true when i put my female L600 with her partner, althout the male is 13 over inches but in proportion, it is smaller.
Bulk of body:
Jus like sexing hypancistrus, female tends to have a rounder abdomen, althot a well fed male may be often mistakenly ID as female. If say both sexes are well fed, the male abdomen is as broad as the head/"shoulder" and females will be width making the head look smaller. Correct me if im wrong, abdomen should be at the area around the pelvic fins and not the area around pectoral("shoulder/chest")
Lastly, the most accurate is to check out the vent, a sexually male male definitely has a "stick" sticking out. Some school of though may claim female will show this sign, but i bet that is when they are ready to lay eggs and definitely different from those of males if yone pay close attention to your fishes all the while.
Reference to my "theory"

Great, personally i find L24 and L25 the most diff to sex, i have seen a couple of good size L25s recently, but cant seem to confirm the sexes........... becos be it male or females, the head is "V" viewing from top. As i do not have any, so limited chances of sexing them. Looking forward to see more pics from your side. :)

My guess for the "U" and "V" shape is due to the fats around the cheeks area where all the tiny spikes are. Males tend to have the puffiness around the cheek region that makes them massive-looking.

Agrees, which explained male head shape is usually "U" :)
