Nope, he is L190. The first pic was taken with flash and the second the lighting contributes to the gold look.

Same fish. The tank conditions seem to contribute a lot too the overall colour, as well as the camera's inability to sometimes capture the 'true' colour.

Yes, quite similar to L27, differences include their teeth, colour and location (L190 from Venezuela and L27 from Brazil).

A few spring to mind. Juvenile Xingu's often have an almost completely transparent caudal (tail) fin, variants of Panaque bathyphilus or L90 can have white caudals, and most juvenile royals to some degree have some transparency/white in their caudals.
