Bro, Andrew is from the UK.

Hi Andrew glad that you tracked down the pair, I have followed your pursuit in PF ( a few false starts ;)) Hope they breed for you soon...someone here in S'pore will race you:p

BTW if you speak to Alan, do remind him about what I am hunting for, he knows.....thanks:cool:

thanks for the replies guys!

Gecko; hey dude! yes i will remind him. im sure he hasnt forgot tho, i spoke to him about you just a few weeks ago.

chilli; thats the only propper spawning cave, there is also another cave under slate to the left by the filters, its big enough for a fish to hide in but not suitable for spawning i dont think, do you think i should add another cave? if so, what kind?

the fighting only lasted 2 days, now they just ignore eachother pretty much... non has shown any intererest in the cave, each only checking it out briefly. the female seems to be the boss, she is bigger i suppose, hopefully he will catch her up.

thanks in advance!

Im currently using a 3.5inch x 3.5inch x 10inch cylinder-shaped ceramic cave for my male that is 11inch long and 3inch thick. I think those on the right of your tank to too big for them, the Male will have difficulty in trapping the female.

It will be good to add more caves of different size so that they have the option to choose the most optimum cave to spawn. However, i do think that having another Male and female inside could give u a higher chance. Reason being, if there are only 2 of them inside, the pair might be reluctant to breed, given that there is no competition. Furthermore, other parties can have a better chance of choosing their own mate.

Once you have identified a trapping pair, then it would be good to separate them alone, to give them more privacy in their business.

I hope that it does help.

Hey Gecko,

I am yet to see evidence of the dutch giant, however the guy that has told me about it doesnt need to lie. He s the sort of guy that exactly what he wants. He has adult pair of GNs in Leopoldi pond. I will ask him again about it.

Can you PM me you e-mail again?
